Colorado Winterfeis was quite an adventure! We left early on Friday morning, but still ran into snow over the pass through Veil, Colorado. Natalie and Melanie had Annie along for extra fun this trip. We went shopping for new swimming suit for Natalie Friday night, then hit the pool at the Days Inn and went to bed. Saturday was an early morning, up at 6 for a long day of waiting.... heehee. Natalie took a first place in three-hand, third in single jig, third in hornpipe 1st in Traditional Set (moving up to Prizewinner!!!!), and fifth in her Trophy Special. Melanie took second in St. Patricks Day, fourth in hornpipe, and third in slip jig, which moves her up to Novice in 2 dances! After the feis we shopped until we dropped, hit the pool again, and then drove home through the snow. What should have been an 8 hour drive took 10 1/2! But, we got home safely. Whew!
